On 6 October, the Ukrainian defence-tech delegation of the Defence Builder ecosystem held a closed-door meeting with Prime Defence and, together with Resilience Media, hosted a dinner where more than 30 investors met the founders of the delegation's companies.
The delegation spent the second day of Resilience Conference London following up on conversations that began on day one. The founders met again with investors, prime contractors and companies to continue discussions about cooperation.
At the closed-door meeting with Prime Defence, the parties discussed integrating the Ukrainian companies' technologies into Prime Defence systems, as well as possible investment.
In the evening, Defence Builder and Resilience Media co-hosted a closed-door dinner in London. It brought together more than 30 investors who already invest in defence or are building a defence portfolio, and they met the founders of seven Defence Builder companies in person. The discussion covered how to value a company whose technology has to be updated every few weeks to remain effective at the front, who should own the intellectual property when a Ukrainian team establishes a joint venture in the UK, and how demand for Ukrainian products will change once the war ends.
The aim of the London week is to give founders as many direct conversations as possible with the people who make decisions on contracts, integration and investment. On the second day, the founders spoke with a potential industrial partner and with investors who make funding decisions.
