The Ukrainian defence tech delegation organised by Defence Builder completed its first day of work in London on 5 October 2026. Over the day, the delegation made more than 50 new contacts, received a briefing at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom and took part in Resilience Conference London, where Defence Builder is an ecosystem partner this year.

At the Embassy, Denys Demko, Economic Secretary, gave the participating companies an overview of the defence cooperation tracks already running between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, including joint production, technology sharing and UK export finance. He explained what each track covers, how companies can take part and where Ukrainian defence technology fits in.

The delegation then spent the day at Resilience Conference London, organised by Resilience Media. According to the Defence Builder team, the conference showed that demand for defence technology is growing as the industry goes through a rearmament cycle. This is reflected in the number of new companies and startups presenting their solutions and in the new investors and funds entering the ecosystem.

The delegation's work began before the trip. The participating companies took part in a preparatory workshop with Colonel Lance Foster OBE, UK Industry and Armaments Attaché at the British Embassy in Kyiv. The workshop covered the framework for UK–Ukraine military cooperation, the needs and priorities of the British side and the new support available to Ukrainian businesses in Kyiv, and prepared the teams for their meeting with the UK Ministry of Defence during the delegation. In a separate workshop, Anna Babych and Mykhailo Lukashenko of AEQUO, Defence Builder's legal partner for the delegation, explained how Ukrainian companies can set up joint ventures, licensing and investment with British entities.

The delegation includes seven Ukrainian defence tech companies: Sine Engineering, FarsightVision, Meta Bureau, Trinity Robotics, Oko Camera, MaXon Systems and MOODRO. Sigma Software Group and Kyiv School of Economics, two of Defence Builder's co-founders, and AEQUO are also part of the delegation. Its programme in London runs until 7 October and is focused on co-production and joint ventures with British companies, integration of Ukrainian components into UK platforms, joint R&D and investment.
