Investment capital targets the fastest-growing segment of Ukraine's defence tech sector: unmanned ground vehicles for logistics and evacuation.

Defence Builder Fund I has invested in Trinity Robotics, a Ukrainian developer of unmanned ground vehicles, alongside Swedish investors Front Ventures AB (publ) and Hede Capital. The round will scale production of Trinity's flagship platform, Konyk ONE, already in service with more than 20 military units across multiple frontline sectors. Axendra advised Trinity Robotics on the transaction.

The total amount raised from investors exceeds €500,000.

Trinity currently produces up to 70 systems per month and is building toward more than 150. For Defence Builder Fund, the logic is straightforward: back technology validated in the field, and help it cross from frontline-grade output into industrial-scale manufacturing.

Unmanned ground vehicles are the most dynamic part of the market by growth. The segment is still relatively small — $252 million in 2025 — but it grew six-fold over the year. Logistics and evacuation platforms are the primary driver, accounting for 61% of the market and growing 556%. It is the most scalable use case, with confirmed battlefield demand. Strike and demining systems are opening further niches with significant long-term demand — particularly given the scale of mine contamination across Ukrainian territory.

Konyk ONE carries up to 300 kg of cargo and covers 45 km under full load on a single charge — enough to run resupply or evacuation runs deep into contested terrain and back. It is controlled at ranges up to 12 km, keeping operators well clear of the danger zone. Rated IP54, it works in various weather conditions. It fits in the bed of a standard pickup, so a unit can move it without specialist transport. Modular options include robotisation, Starlink-based digital comms, and autonomous-mission GPS units.

The platform covers three frontline roles:

  • Logistics — fast, reliable delivery of cargo across contested terrain

  • Evacuation — casualty evacuation under fire, plus firepower configurations

  • Mining / demining — clearing and laying, with additional platform armouring and special software available

A Nordic–Ukrainian bridge

Defence Builder Fund brings capital and ecosystem intelligence and a portfolio rooted in Ukraine's frontline innovation base; Front Ventures and Hede Capital bring Nordic capital markets and industrial expertise, connecting battle-tested Ukrainian engineering with the manufacturing depth European scale-up requires.

Special thanks to Brave1 — for their systemic support throughout Trinity Robotics journey: from helping refine the product to meet defense sector requirements, to guiding the company through the investment-raising process.

"Ground robotics is the fastest-growing segment of Ukraine's defence tech, and logistics and evacuation is where the demand is already proven. Trinity has done the hard part — building a system soldiers use every day across the line of contact. Our job now is to help them turn that into volume," said Daria Yaniieva, President of Defence Builder.

"We are proud to welcome Defence Builder Fund, Front Ventures and Hede Capital as partners. Their commitment demonstrates growing international confidence in Ukraine's defence technology sector and supports our mission to replace soldiers in dangerous environments with reliable robotic systems. We are grateful to Axendra for its support throughout the fundraising process," said Oleksii Konik, Co-Founder of Trinity Robotics.
